Treasurer Report - April 2025

Good morning area 41!!

Thank you for the opportunity to serve as your area treasurer

I had the opportunity to attend the four corner work shop in St. Paul this past January, home of the bottomless soup. The workshop was fantastic. Surpassed only by the hospitality and fellowship. Than you to all of the Members who worked so hard to put on the workshop. In March I was able to attend the west central regional aa service conference in Casper Wyoming. The scenery was breathtaking. We had some very robust and thoughtful discussions in the effort to prepare our regions delegates to serve us at the general service conference later this month. In January I had order some additional checks for a few of the accounts that were running low; hoping to distribute them at the four corner workshop. I didn’t think much of it when I did not receive them in time for the event, I wish I had. I received a call from Charlie S shortly after returning - it seems the checks had been mailed to the account holder addresses as they were in 2021. A stop pay was issued on the impacted check numbers as I tried to track down where the checks had been sent. Unable to track down the checks for the Secretary account, that account was requested to be closed and new account opened. I had expected that process to take a day or three and be able to give The Secretary and alternate delegate their checks in Casper. As a reminder that things do not happen on my time and in my order. Erin and Russ got their new checkbooks yesterday. Now on to the numbers.

After funding all accounts for second quarter:

  • Main account has 18,636.39
  • Prudent Reserve has 18,029.10
  • Our projected expenses for first quarter after adjusting for the mileage costs for the four corner workshop were 17,420.99
  • Our actual expenses were 14,813.43 We were under budget by 2607.56
  • Our contributions for the quarter were 10,292.86 There were 86 unique contributors
  • The average contribution was 115.32 The median contribution was 77.50
  • 32 contributions were under 50. Thank you to all of the small groups which make all this possible.

Thank you for allowing me to serve.

Brian R, Area 41 Treasurer
